LIUHE ZIRANMEN / WUSHU
The Liu He Zi Ran Men / Wushu Training Center was opened by Master Chen Ying in 1997 in New York City. Sifu Chen teaches both Contemporary Wushu as well as Wan Lai Sheng's Natural Style (Zi Ran Men) Kung Fu and Traditional Shaolin Six Harmony (Liu He Men) Kung Fu. Classes are available for all ages and skill levels and are taught in a relaxed environment. Private instruction is available. Please call to schedule your first class.
LIU HE ZI RAN MEN
NATURAL STYLE KUNG FU
Zi Ran Men (or Ziranmen) Kung Fu has it's roots in ancient Taoist philosophy, and encompasses physical training, Qigong (or Chi Kung) and fighting techniques. Liu He Men (or Liuhe) Kung Fu is derived from the Yue style of Shaolin Kung Fu. It combines both soft and hard techniques and is based on the theory of "Six Harmonies". The style incorporates strength and flexibility training and is renowned for its fluid and effective fighting practices.
Natural Style Kung Fu strips away what is unnecessary, and develops the "essence" of martial arts, thus it is assertive, uncomplicated and direct. Movement is based upon the use of circular energy, where attack can become defense, or a block can become a strike. The mind is calm, decisive and spontaneous. The Liu He Zi Ran Men / Wushu Training Center also offers contemporary Wushu training. Along with other internal systems, Master Chen Ying teaches Yang and Chen style Tai Chi Chuan in additional to several external systems, sparring exercises and weapons forms.
